Togo Football Federation announced on Monday that it had obtained authorisation from Caf to play the upcoming 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea at a new venue.
Togolese officials had complained to the continental body that its players were seriously concerned about the outbreak of Ebola fever in Guinea and wanted the encounter to be move to another country.
The Sparrow Hawks have been scheduled to play the Syli Nationals early next month in Conakry in Group-E opener.
Caf will release a statement on Tuesday concerning the relocation of the Guinea – Togo match, Togo officials said.
Guinea has been asked by Caf to propose alternative venues for the encounter, which will be in turn approved by the body before scheduling.
The Ebola virus has infected 495 people in Guinea and killed 363 since it broke out in March. There is no known cure or vaccines. –Supersport.com
