A charitable organisation, Church Alliance for Orphans (CAFO), last week held its annual general meeting under the theme, “A call on churches… Namibia’s children need you”.
Minister of Gender Equality and Child Welfare, Marlene Mungunda, officially opened the gathering.
At the same occasion, the director of CAFO, Dr Henry G Platt, handed over cheques to seven organisations.
“This funding comes from the New Partner’s Initiative, a US government programme. The CAFO programme seeks to build the capacity of selected churches and faith-based groups that will provide compassionate, comprehensive care to orphans and vulnerable children,” he said during the hand over ceremony.
The seven organisations each received N$20???_?_’???_?’???_???
