WINDHOEK

The theatre group Committed Artists of Namibia is in need of Namibian actors to take part in plays for its upcoming historic four-month Season Theatre Festival starting at the end of August.

This invitation was extended to local actors by the group’s organizing secretary, Felicity Celento.

“Besides the four productions lined up until November this year, CAN is in the process of helping create a new generation of committed, dedicated and disciplined Namibian actors to provide in the growing needs of local theatre,” said Celento.

According to her, stage roles are still available for the plays, The Mole People, Election Fever and Papland in the CAN festival that is to be staged as part of the Bank Windhoek Festival. The works will also be judged as part of the NTN’s Theatre Zone.

One-off auditions will be held next Tuesday between 17h00 and 18h00 at the Katutura Community Arts Centre (KACA).
