By Staff Reporter WINDHOEK Capricorn Asset Management has announced the appointment of Tertius Liebenberg as its managing director as from July 1, 2007. Capricorn Asset Management is a 100 percent Namibian-owned investment management company forming part of the Capricorn Investment Holdings group of companies. The company’s main business focus areas are private client wealth management and portfolio management. Amongst others, the company is responsible for the management of the Bank Windhoek Selekt Fund and Bank Windhoek Investment Fund unit trust portfolios and has currently in excess of N$5 billion assets under management. According to a statement issued by the company, Tertius has been responsible for the group’s money and capital market business for more than 10 years and has been the portfolio manager of all the Bank Windhoek unit trust funds since their inception. On the other hand, his Bank Windhoek roles included being chief treasurer and member of the Bank’s executive management team. He has furthermore been the executive director of Capricorn Asset Management since the establishment of the company. As a result of Tertius’s appointment and the fact that he will focus his attention solely on Capricorn Asset Management in future, the position of chief treasurer of Bank Windhoek has become vacant. Until such time as a new appointment has been made, Tertius will continue to maintain his responsibilities as chief treasurer of the Bank.
