ANIREP, IFC seek local renewable energy expansion

Alpha Namibia Industries Renewable Power Limited (ANIREP) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have entered into a collaboration agreement to determine the viability of developing a 10 to 20 MW independent solar power plant to pilot the new Modified Single Buyer Model in Namibia.

EU commits N$627 million for Namibia until 2024

The European Union has officially adopted its multi-annual indicative programme for Namibia for 2021 to 2017. Through this programme, the EU commits to provide N$627.3 million (37 million euro) for the initial period of the programme, running from 2021 to 2024.

Full upgrade slated for Mokuti Etosha Lodge

The Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group this week confirmed that Mokuti Etosha Lodge, a property of its subsidiary O&L Leisure, will undergo full renovations. As a result, the lodge will be closed from 22 March 2022 for a period of 12 to 15 months for the envisioned refurbishments to be completed.
