ONGWEDIVA – Business people who also double as farmers want the government to reserve the money allocated to mitigate the effects of the drought in the country for humans only.

The agricultural industry is finding the going very tough and all sectors are expected to decline further this year due to the devastating drought. 

Namibia is preparing measures to protect its beef exports to Europe, as part of its Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with the European Union, against the possible repercussions of Brexit. 

Negotiations regarding the continuation of Namibian beef exports to the United Kingdom (UK) are handled at the highest level, despite difficulties between the European Union (EU) and Britain regarding Brexit negotiations, the Meat Board of Namibia has confirmed. 

WINDHOEK ‑ Agricultural lender, Agribank, has announced drought relief initiatives in an effort to offer relief and support to farmers countrywide.

WINDHOEK ‑ The current low level of water in the Hardap Dam is hindering irrigation and affecting fodder like lucerne production, which is a very important component in dairy production for optimal milk quantities.

OMUTHIYA - Animal technicians from various veterinary offices in Oshikoto Region were hard at work for the past three days, treating animals over suspected presence of a Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), simply known as Congo Fever,  in the area.
