Ovaherero division afflicts Nudo – Kauandenge

With next year’s national elections expected to be a fierce battle with tight margins, National Unity Democratic Organisation’s secretary general Josef Kauandenge is well aware of the country’s changing political landscape and admits that the existing division within the Ovaherero community could harm the party’s performance in the 2024 elections.

Local farmers encouraged to grow potatoes

Namibia is expected to produce a very low tonnage of potatoes this year, failing to meet higher domestic demand. This is according to figures shared by the Namibia Agronomic Board in its April to August 2023 vegetable production forecast report.

O&L Nexentury GmbH, a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List Group, was on 11 May 2023 granted an advanced water management permit from the District Administration Office of Karlsruhe, Germany, for the construction and operation of what will currently be Germany’s largest fully permitted and floating solar photovoltaic (PV) park.
