After being postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Standard Bank Music Festival finally took place at the Unam Stadium, roping in 32 local acts, 14 DJs and South African amapiano artist Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, professionally known as Makhadzi.

Kraatz and union agree on 6.5% salary increase
Kraatz (Pty) Ltd and the Metal and Allied Namibian Workers Union (MANWU) last week signed a one-year substantive agreement. The signing of the agreement means 35 bargaining unit employees at Kraatz will receive a 6.5% increase on their basic salary, effective 1 July 2022. Kraatz is a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group.
ECB hosts African electricity regulator peer review
The Electricity Control Board (ECB) recently hosted four African electricity regulator CEOs for a Peer Review and Learning Network (PRLN). The ECB was represented by the acting chief executive officer, Rachel Boois. The first peer review was held from 9 to 14 May 2022 in Uganda, and Namibia’s ECB hosted the second review from 19 to 24 September 2022.

Fishrot recusal decision on ice
