WINDHOEK - An impressive total of six new championship records tumbled on the third day of the CANA Zone IV Swimming Championships underway in Windhoek, on Monday.

WINDHOEK – Newcomers hosts Namibia suffered back-to-back defeats during the first day of the Water Polo Championships, first losing to the South African men’s U/16 team by 19 goals to 1, before going down 19-7 against Zimbabwe’s U/18 team in their second match.

It is well documented that corruption is rife in most African countries, and at times it seems as though rules and laws are nothing but words on paper and depending on whom you are or what you do, they might not apply to you as they would apply to the next person. 

Born in Lubango, Angola 34 years ago, Kennedy Liswani is one young man destined for greatness. He started primary school in Oshakati and moved to Windhoek in 1994 to finish his primary education at People’s Primary School (PPS) and completed his secondary schooling at Ella Du Plessis before moving to South-Africa for tertiary education.

WINDHOEK- Simon Nambandi, the second best performing Grade 10 student in the Oshikoto Region is  thankful to Standard Bank for the award, which he said will motivate him to do better in future. 

WINDHOEK - Having learnt that most of the children who graduated from the Tsumeb-based Multi-Purpose Centre but at Etosha Secondary School and few other primary schools do not have textbooks, the Tov is hosting a fundraising dance.
