Man loses life over N$10

WINDHOEK - A 45-year-old man was arrested after he stabbed two people, killing one and injuring the other over N$10.  The incident happened on Sunday early morning at Sonderwater Rehoboth.  Police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi confirmed the suspect stabbed the deceased on the left side of the chest with a knife and the victim died on the spot.

Fraud and theft suspect denied bail 

RUNDU - A Namibian who originates from Zimbabwe Nevers Chirimugaha,51 was on Friday denied bail when he made a routine court appearance in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on three counts, a charge of fraud, theft by false pretence, forgery and uttering a forged instrument.

Conviction overturned for lack of evidence

WINDHOEK – The judgment of a man convicted of housebreaking with intent to steal and theft at the Outapi Magistrates’ Court was overturned and his four-year imprisonment sentence set aside by two judges of the Oshakati High Court.

Unam vet school undergoes accreditation audit

WINDHOEK – The Veterinary Council of Namibia is expected to conduct an audit towards the end of this year to determine whether the University of Namibia’s School of Veterinary has complied with the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) requirements as well as Namibian health legislation.
