As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Namibia National Reinsurance Corporation Ltd (NamibRe) last week handed over N$20 000 to Miss Namibia 2021 Chelsi Shikongo, First princess Annerie Maré, and Second princess Michelle Mukuve.

The articles that I have recently penned regarding poverty have all focused on facts, figures and statistics. I was looking at the causes of poverty, and trying to explain that there are many facets or dimensions to poverty.

The Namibia Statistics Agency is planning to conduct a pilot phase of the Population and Housing Census, which has been moved to August 2022. The pilot phase of the census serves as a test or dry run for the actual population and housing census enumeration. 

The Namibian Police in Erongo arrested two of the four suspects who carried out an armed robbery at Swakopmund’s Mondesa Woermann Brock shop last week.
