Botswana to assume SACU chair 

Botswana assumed the chairmanship of the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) Summit, Council of Ministers and Commission, effective from 15 July 2021 to 14 July 2022. Botswana takes over from South Africa, which held the SACU chair from 14 July 2020 to 14 July 2021.
