A State-funded lawyer has withdrawn his services in a case in which he was representing former Windhoek-based magistrate Hileni Kavara. 

The Northern Regional Electricity Distributor is currently withholding the pension pay-outs of four former employees accused of fraud of over N$5 million.

Incoming Namibian police Deputy Inspector General for operations Joseph Shikongo has pledged to focus on joint operations, including patrols and investigations with neighbouring countries to curb cross-border crimes.
