The police have made tremendous progress investigating the case of a Windhoek resident, who was arrested last year in connection to the heinous murder of his wife.

OMUTHIYA – Businesspeople, who had submitted bids for the Oshikoto Regional Council annual tenders, have been left agitated by the regional council’s decision to cancel the process. 

Communal farmers in the Kavango West region have once again bemoaned the existence of the Veterinary Cordon Fence (VCF), also referred to as the “red line”, saying it is depriving them an opportunity to market their livestock to other parts of the country.

The police in Khomas have appealed for help from the public in tracing an awaiting trial inmate, who escaped from lawful custody on Friday afternoon. 

RUNDU - A 30-year-old man died on Saturday after consuming alcohol at Kahenge in the Kavango West region.

OSHAKATI - Northern businessman Sindano Hango was granted N$10 000 bail on Friday while he awaits to be sentenced on 16 April this year.

A 17-year-old teenager from Rehoboth, who admitted he stoned a 57-year-old woman to death, has been convicted in the Windhoek High Court by Judge Dinnah Usiku last week. 

AROAB – The ruling party, Swapo, says it is fully prepared and determined to take over control of the Aroab Village Council ahead of Friday rerun election.
