Covid-19: EU helps WFP support less fortunate

The United Nations (UN) World Food Programme (WFP) has welcomed a contribution of N$40 million from the European Union (EU), which will help WFP deliver critical food assistance to 30 000 vulnerable people in Namibia affected by Covid-19 and drought.

Committee dispels community fears over quarantine facility

Residents of Kangweru in Ndonga-Linena constituency of Kavango East were relieved following an intervention by the region’s social mobilisation committee, who recently held an information-sharing meeting at the village to provide clarity regarding a particular guest house in that village that is currently being used as a quarantine facility.
