WINDHOEK – The VisionCore mentorship programme for young girls under the theme ‘Raising Leading Ladies’ continues to excite the young girls.

In a world of many people that come and go, there are some that will leave a mark on you. Some deserve more appreciation then they get. This is my letter to them:

There are various factors to be considered when one is contemplating the standard of education in our beloved motherland.

WINDHOEK – Selma Ambunda is a goal-driven mid-career woman with a passion for driving change.
A devoted hardworking Christian and believer she grew up in rural Namibia in the small village of Ouma, in the Omusati Region. Walking long distances from home to school and back, covering ten kilometres a day, did not put her off school but instead motivated her to one day change her circumstances.

WINDHOEK - Operi Kazombiaze, a 16-year-old aspiring model has initiated a Gender Based Violence (GBV) campaign titled #KnowYourWorthy, to reduce GBV among the youth and all Namibians at large.

WINDHOEK - The 38th Southern African Development Community (SADC) summit that took place last week had young people at the centre of its agenda with the theme “Promoting infrastructure development and youth empowerment for sustainable development”.

WINDHOEK - Well-known Namibian advertising agency, Advantage Y&R, has continued its run of success, this time picking up a Loerie Award for a temporary structure called ‘The Shack’, which won in the category for ‘Three Dimensional & Environmental Design – Interior Design & Temporary Structures.’

Almost no country is totally self-sufficient and has no need for skill support in specific fields. This is evident in specialised field of expertise such as medicine, marine, mining and also in the aviation industry. The aviation sector facilitates tourism, business, trade and logistics. Namibia’s development goals has logistics as one of the driving forces of Namibia’s Development Plan (NDP5) and therefore its economy, to ensure that Namibia becomes the logistical hub for SADC and Africa.
