That country’s Department of Public Works and Infrastructure gazetted a comprehensive document to update the norms and standards for all rental housing. The document highlights the approach of how to deal with the big shift in social housing in the country.

Omaheke aims to become major dairy producer

The Omaheke region, well known as Namibia’s cattle country, has embarked on a quest to save the country’s dairy industry from total collapse. According to Omaheke governor Pijoo Nganate, the region is in line to become one of the hubs for dairy products amidst efforts to become self-sufficient and create more employment.

The Bank of Namibia and the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises have re-launched the SME Economic Recovery Loan Scheme on 2 February 2023 with a share capital of N$500 million. The first scheme was launched in November 2020, but failed due to stringent qualifying criteria and the lack of well-represented information across the 14 regions.
