Vivo Energy Namibia, the retailer and marketer of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, recently held its annual Safety Day across company operations countrywide, reinforcing the importance of Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ).

Agriculture minister Calle Schlettwein has accused South Africa of over pricing sugar sold locally and of taking advantage of an agreement that prohibits Namibia from buying sugar from other countries. 

The second year of the collective agreement negotiated between the Construction Industries Federation of Namibia (CIF), Metal, and Allied Workers Union (MANWU), in May 2021 and then published on 2 November 2021 in Government Gazette No. 7675, will commence on 2 November 2022. This means that the minimum wage payable will increase by 2.6%. 

One of the recommendations of the recently held national education conference was that student teachers must have more teaching practice time in schools before they graduate.
