Namibia have been pitted against Sri Lanka in the first match of the International Cricket Council Men’s T20 World Cup that will be held in Australia later this year.

Namibian featherweight boxer Sakaria ‘Desert Storm’ Lukas drew against Mongolia’s Tugstsogt Nyambayar in New Jersey, the United States on Saturday night.

Following Christine Mboma and Beatrice Masilingi’s impressive performances in the 100m race in Swakopmund last weekend, their coach Henk Botha said they are strongly contemplating competing in that distance on the international circuit this season.

Namibia’s senior women’s team yesterday crashed out of the ongoing 2022 Africa Cup of Nations field hockey competition in Accra, Ghana after drawing one-all with Zimbabwe.

I had a great 2021 season, with many new achievements for me. New personal bests and international medals (two silvers at Memorial Paolo d’ Aloja International Regatta, Italy), as well as making it into my first A-final of my rowing career at World Cup III in Sabaudia, Italy.
