Sports minister Agnes Tjongarero has hailed the grown and importance of the MTC Namibia Youth Games but said more needs to be done to ensure the country has a steady talent retention programme in place to compliment the youth games.

With the 2020 MTC Namibia Youth Games around the corner, today’s article will focus on the role that youth sports play in a young person’s life. 

This year’s edition of the eagerly awaited MTC Namibia Youth Games was officially launched in the capital yesterday and organisers confirmed that the games will take place next month at Rietfontein in the Otjozondjupa region.

The MTC HopSol Youth Soccer League again lived up to expectations over the weekend when youngsters from the various participating teams brought their A-games to the Khomasdal and Sam Nujoma stadiums where the matches took place.
