WINDHOEK - The recently concluded Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) Regional Chairpersons workshop – held in Windhoek - adopted some resolutions to be implemented during the course of this year. One of the most important decisions made was that the annual National Youth Games will take place at Swakopmund in December. 

WINDHOEK - Team Namibia finished 7th overall at the South African Districts and Festival Squash Tournament (SACD) that took place over the weekend.

WINDHOEK – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) investigations into the internal affairs of the Namibia Football Association (NFA) has taken a fresh twist, as the Namibian anti-graft body is now in hot pursuit of Brave Warriors Team Manager Tim Isaacs, New Era Sport has learnt.

WINDHOEK- Former sprinter and netball player Yolanda Tjipuka and her husband Sydney Tjipuka, recently teamed up with friends to assistant a group of nine athletes that formed part of the team that represented Namibia at the recent Cossasa Athletics Championships in eSwatini.

OMUTHIYA – Already boasting a state-of-the-art football field constructed at a tune of close to 10 million through Fifa assistance, the town of Omuthiya will soon embark on the construction of netball courts and other additional facilities.

WINDHOEK - Deputy Minister of Sport, Youth and National Service Agnes Tjongarero says the time is ripe to approach sport development creatively and has called on the regional chairpersons responsible for sport at various towns across the country to be innovative when addressing the shortage of sport facilities.

WINDHOEK – There is just a few matches left before the curtains come down on the 2018/19 Namibia Premier League (NPL) season and still there is no concrete communication as to how the NPL will go about the promotion and relegation of teams this season.
