Omaruru Spar Cycle Challenge this weekend

WINDHOEK – The 18th edition of the Omaruru Spar Cycle Challenge – one of the country’s leading cycling competitions – was officially launched in the capital yesterday. As is customary, the race is slated for the town of Omaruru this weekend and according to chief organiser of the event Berthold Karumendu, a much bigger and better event is expected.

NFA orders NPL to reinstate Young African

WINDHOEK – The Fifa Normalisation Committee for the Namibia Football Association (NFA) has ordered the Namibia Premier League (NPL) to reinstate demoted Gobabis-based club Young African back into the league until the NFA Appeals Committee has pronounced itself on the club’s future.

Johannes wins Two Oceans Half Marathon

WINDHOEK – Namibia’s empress of long distance running Helalia Johannes on Saturday delivered a sterling performance to outclass a strong field of equally prodigious runners to win the 21-km half marathon of the prestigious Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town.
