WINDHOEK – The Windhoek Municipality has re- appointed its chief executive officer Niilo Taapopi for a further six months. The municipality’s spokesperson Joshua Amukugo made the announcement at a press conference yesterday.

The re-appointment was decided at a council meeting on June 5 and his new term will start on June 16.

“His contract of employment shall be for a period  up to the finalisation of the recruitment process and handing over to the incoming CEO,” said Amukugo.

Amukugo thanked Taapopi for agreeing to again serve the municipality, having served as CEO for the past ten years.
