Have you ever wondered why it’s so easy to fight or to hate someone but it is very hard to love? I have been walking around and all I have seen is anger and hatred from every angle. It is hard to get happy and I ask myself if it is too late for love to surface.

When we talk about clean heart, we first have to understand that everything comes from the heart, every bad or good thing we do, starts in the heart. If the heart is burdened, the mouth speaks. The heart is the seat of men’s emotions.

What makes our heart unclean is bitterness; everyone who has bitterness in them gets angry very quickly. When there is something in you and you are provoked, it produces anger, that something, is akin to bitterness. Bitterness is very silent and anger can seen. When you are often angry, you have to look inside, we need to remove bitterness from the heart.

All problems come from the heart, when our hearts are in pain we build a wall of bitterness, that is why we keep saying why me, we become self-centred because we do not have a clean heart. We need to break the wall, we need to heal the broken heart in us, in Psalms 51 versus 17 it says God want a sacrifice of a broken spirit and he will not reject a broken heart.

We need to remove the mind-set that everyone is against us, how can everyone be against one person, do they tell each other that they must treat you the same way, wherever you go? We need to change, try not to blame everyone around you; we need to have a clean heart.

We need to understand that the issue is not with the people around us but it is within ourselves. When we have unclean heart, it is like having two steel rods striking against each other, they produce sparks, that demonstrate that when people provoke you and have anger in you, you will talk back and it will start a fight. But if we have clean heart, it will be different, it will be one steel rod hitting on the back of the hand and since the is no othersteel rod to hit it against it, it will not produce any sparks. Having a clean heart will make you free of any anger and it will make you not worry about who provoked you or who said what about you.

Clean heart makes you to love people, makes you to know the true meaning of love. Love is patient and kind, be kind to everyone, love is not jealous, boastful, proud or rude. We need to work all these characteristics out of our hearts so that we get rid of jealousy.

If you don’t have jealousy, you will be proud of other people and love makes you humble. Love does not seek its own, it’s not me first, it’s not why me. Love seek the welfare of others, it does not rejoice about the injustice but it rejoices whenever the truth wins. Love never gives up, never loses faith, its always hopeful and it endures through every circumstance. If we continue to work on ourselves and develop love in us, people will love to being around us. – Eewa
