Excited to have signed for a European club, taking their new club to the women’s champion’s league is now their aim.
Zenatha Coleman and Thomalina Adams who last month both signed professional contracts with European club Gintra Universitetas of Lithuania say they can’t wait to get down to business and help their new team to a champions’ league berth.

Speaking to the young girls at a meeting arranged by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) president Frans Mbidi and his delegation, Coleman could not hide her joy as she explained what it means to get an opportunity to encourage other girls to follow their dreams.

“I feel amazing to go to Europe, for me it’s out of this world and I can’t wait to play,” she noted. Asked if she could help her team to the champions’ league, an optimistic Coleman quickly replied, “Yes I will, with my calibre I think I can.”

Adams was equally excited noting that it’s a rare opportunity and she will do everything to the best of her abilities to help her new club. “I will grab it and make the most of it,” she said of the opportunity to play in Europe.

She added that she aims to help her club finish at the top, and also improve as a player. Mbidi urged the girls to live rightfully and do positive things.

“From what I have seen in them in a short period of time I don’t think we should be too concerned,” he stated. The two girls will join their new team-mates in April next year.
