As part of the Bank Windhoek Winter Arts Festival, local comedian, Armas Shivute, will perform his popular stand-up comedy entitled “Who is Crazy?” next Wednesday at the Warehouse Theatre.

It is a typically true-life story based on everyday issues, as announced in a press statement. The public can look forward to a night of unforgettable entertainment at the Warehouse Theatre on July 11. This breathtaking comedy will feature the Comedy King, Armas Shivute, and a newcomer to the Namibian comedy scene, Stanley “Stakes” van Wyk.

When asked about his inspiration for his show, Armas replied: “In general, you find people calling other people crazy, but when you look at the person being referred to as crazy, you are left wondering whether that person is really crazy or if it is the other way round.”

Armas added that “the story also examines the streets, where people are judged without validation or deeper understanding of individual situations. In my eyes as a story-teller, I am able to tell the story differently.”

“The Bank Windhoek Arts Festival has successfully created a platform where Namibians can experience performances like Armas Shivute’s comedy piece.

Bank Windhoek has enabled artists and audiences to enjoy and appreciate our unique art forms,” said Aldo Behrens, Bank Windhoek Arts Festival Coordinator.

Tickets for the show are available at the Warehouse Theatre for N$35 (advance) and N$45 (at the door).
