The chairperson of the Khomas second division outfit Swallows FC Lazarus
Xoagub says their victory in the league was a result of consistency

Swallows FC won 13 games, and drew two matches in the second leg of the Khomas second division league.

They obtained 66 points from 30 matches of the league’s campaign.

“Our team’s style of play and winning games added to our con1 sponsorship hardships. We controlled, organised and supervised all
important resources in our team. We analysed
games, and made sure everyone was doing the
right job at the right times,” he stated.

The chairperson added that the team’s focus
is now on winning the promotion playoff, and playing first-division football.

“Of course, we will have more friendly games with various teams. We are lucky to be in Khomas, where most quality teams are based, and this will give us a better chance to improve our approach,” he said

Xoagub added that the team will also host a
pre-playoff tournament to prepare for the playoff, and hope to acquire sponsorship toward the
playoff.

“This tournament will energise us to be on fire in the promotion playoff,” he added.

He said their goals are to place the team ahead of individual needs; set standards in practice;
allow full expression of skills, and emphasise a winning attitude.

The Windhoek-based team was, followed
by City Boys with 61 and Young Generation with 60 points in second and third places,
respectively.

Namib Eagles, Golden Rivers Falcon and
