WINDHOEK – As busy professionals frequently required to work long hours, including working from home, human beings often find it difficult to balance their professional lives and personal lives, often neglecting their health in the process.
Certainly, now is the ideal opportunity to rectify those imbalances, as Bank Windhoek’s Corporate Challenge Relay affords busy professionals the chance to take time out and revitalise their minds and bodies.
Professionals in the corporate and public sector, as well as members of the public, are invited to sign up for the 2014 Bank Windhoek Corporate Challenge Relay, slated for the October 18, 2014, at the Trustco United Sport Club in Olympia.
Corporate companies, schools and individual groups can enter teams of 4 members to compete in the Men’s, Women’s, Mixed and School’s categories. The relay will consists of a 20 km walk or run with each team member required to run or walk for 5 km on a route around the Trustco United Sport Club.
Entry fee is N$400 for corporate companies and individual groups and N$200 for school teams. The relay will be a day-night event starting at 16h00 and finishing at 20h00 with the Prize Giving Ceremony slated for 20h15.
The relay is not only an opportunity to keep fit and to adopt healthy habits, but is also about having fun with colleagues, family and friends. The event is expected to include various hospitality sites, where teams will have an opportunity to relax and socialise with team members and other companies.
Also expected is entertainment for kids during the day and performances by well-known artists after the prize-giving ceremony. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal, while the winners in the respective divisions will receive medals.
