ONGWEDIVA – The Community Skills Development Foundation (Cosdef) has brought a group of trainees to the Ongwediva Trade Fair Centre to conduct live skill demonstrations in various fields.
Cosdef spokesperson, Joram Shifa, told Nampa on Wednesday the foundation had brought services closer to the community by showcasing the tangible impact of the organisation’s work in the community through skills development.
“As part of a demonstration of our efforts, we brought a group of trainees to the event who are conducting skill demonstrations across various fields.
This serves as a true testament to their competency, showing they are capable of crafting and manufacturing products that can be sold to generate income,” he said.
He explained that the foundation serves as community centres offering practical skills training, particularly to the youth and disadvantaged groups, emphasising business, entrepreneurship, and life skills.
Meanwhile, he noted that Cosdef, established to enhance arts and crafts skills development, acts as a sales outlet for local products and aims to boost income generation by meeting individual and market needs.
“In addition to the live demonstrations, we have also made application forms available at our stalls for potential students,” he added.
Interested individuals can visit the stalls to fill in application forms for the 2026 intake. -Nampa
