SPRING burst onto the scene in Avis this Saturday with a ‘Cycletech Spring Fest ‘that celebrated some great weather, and Namibia’s healthy outdoor lifestyle, in an event that has grown since its inception 14-year-s-ago.
Over 1 000 people turned up for the biggest ever Spring Fest, which amongst the line-up of fitness activities, displays, and different food stalls, saw the motor industry stand out prominently. Vehicles kitted out with lifestyle accessories for the cyclist and sporty outdoor enthusiast set the trend for a mini auto show for the motoring and sporty outdoor enthusiast.
Pupkewitz Motor Division went all out with a full line-up from Toyota, Honda, GWM and Nissan, ranging from bakkies to bikes. And according to Anton Westraadt (Head Marketing Pupkewitz Motor Division), this was their first time involved with the Spring Fest – but certainly not the last.
“We support community projects such as this, and decided to partner with Cycletech, with all four auto franchises playing a part in this exciting day,” said Anton. “Looking at the participants who attended on the day it was very much a family affair and Pupkewitz supports these kinds of platforms.
“We had a wide variety of vehicles appealing to the target market, with some kitted out with roof racks and cycling accessories to complement the theme of the event,” he continued, adding. “We really had a great time interacting with our customers and look forward to a bigger and better Spring Festival in 2014.”
Another major motor dealer in town , Autohaus Windhoek was also there to show case their range of vehicles which stood amongst the 424 participating athletes, and big crowd of people who turned up for an active day of fun in the sun.
