WINDHOEK-The Franco Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC) and Dance Showcase Namibia present a Fusion Funk Dance Studio dance show next Saturday at the FNCC.
Dance Showcase Namibia, now in its second year running, is offered by the Fusion Funk Dance Studio, a new school in Windhoek teaching Hip Hop, Ballroom and Latin dance. It was founded in September 2012 by Pieters Mcbreaton, a young Namibian with a great talent and passion for dancing. The 23-year old Mcbreaton and his fellow instructors offer dancing classes to students of all ages. “The new dance school is especially popular among teenagers, some of whom spend an intensive eight hours per week learning the Foxtrot and Cha-Cha, Salsa and Samba, Rumba and Tango, to name but a few,” says Mcbreaton.
“Our school is different and unique because we focus more on our students than on the dance. People must expect diversity from my side the night of the show, as I am full of surprises. Be prepared for a versatile showcase of dance styles, presented by young and passionate amateur dancers,” he cajoles.
