Date set for Nguvauva’s inauguration as chief

Home National Date set for Nguvauva’s inauguration as chief

WINDHOEK – The chiefs council of the OvaMbanderu Traditional Authority has set November 21 as the date of the inauguration of Kilus Nguvauva as the next OvaMbanderu chief.

This came after High Court Judge Collins Parker earlier this month ordered the Minister of Regional and Local Government, Housing and Rural Development Charles Namoloh to approve the application of Kilus Nguvauva as the rightful chief of the OvaMbanderu by not later than October 14.
The date was dicided during the council meeting held on Saturday in Epukiro in Omaheke Region.
Contacted for comment yesterday OvaMbanderu spokesperson, Uazenga Ngahahe-Tjiposa, confirmed the meeting but declined to comment on the issue saying a press conference would be called on Wednesday this week to discuss the meeting’s outcome.
Nguvauva, who is also the Deputy Minister of Works and Transport is the eldest son of his late father, Chief Munjuku Nguvauva II, who died in 2008.
