De Klerk, Matthews clinch King Price victory

This past weekend, the fairways of Omeya Golf Club and Windhoek Golf Club hosted the much-anticipated 2025 King Price International Pairs (KPIP) Namibia Final.

The event brought together 30 top-performing teams from across the country for two days of lively competition, showcasing exceptional skill among Namibia’s best amateur golfers.

Organized in partnership with sponsors King Prices and ABInBev, the tournament highlighted the growing enthusiasm and support for golf in Namibia.

The organisers expressed gratitude to the sponsors for their ongoing support of the sport. Emerging victorious after two competitive rounds, Albert de Klerk and Jared Matthews posted an impressive, combined score of 84 Stableford points.

Pieter Conradie and Anton Smit took second place with 83 Stableford points (42 in round one, 41 in round two), while Antonio Gamito and Hendrik du Toit settled for third with 83 Stableford points (39 in round one, 44 in round two).

Their outstanding second-round performance secured them the top spot and the honour of representing Namibia at the International Pairs World Finals in Sun City later this year.
