WINDHOEK – A memorial service in honour of Ambassador Raphael Dinyando will be held at 18h00 this afternoon at the St Mary’s Roman Catholic Cathedral in the capital.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Selma Ashipala-Musavyi yesterday said Dinyando’s mortal remains would be received at Eros airport this morning at 08h00 from Austria. Dinyando succumbed to cancer in Austria where he was the Namibian Ambassador. Another memorial service will be held tomorrow at the Rundu Sports Stadium while the funeral will be held on Saturday at Divundu.
Ashipala-Musavyi said in a media statement that the funeral proceedings would take place from the Roman Catholic Church at Andara. “The ministry would like to express its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Ambassador Dinyando and wishes them strength and solace during this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Ashipala-Musavyi said.
