Diplomatic spouses host 3 000 Namibians at annual bazaar

The Association of Diplomatic Spouses (ADS) in Namibia recently held its annual charity bazaar, which attracted more than 3 000 Namibians to sample a variety of cuisines, and exposed locals to many traditions from around the world.  The event was hosted at the Windhoek International School in the capital, and it raised a whopping N$200 000 through the assistance of diplomatic missions in Namibia and food enthusiasts. With more than 20 embassies in the country, the funds are earmarked for charity projects in the field of education for Namibians. Over the years, ADS Namibia has raised funds for various causes, including gender-based violence, boosting small and medium enterprises and tackling themes such as the welfare of children in the country. -psiririka@nepc.com.na
