Dolphin Swimming Club’s offers kids chance to learn how to swim

Teaching children the art of swimming and to enjoy this healthy activity should be part of any parent’s to-do list. Those are the sentiments of Ingrid Goeieman, the manager of sponsorships and donations at FNB Namibia.

“We believe it is important for children to learn how to swim as a life skill, as you never know when you need it. Swimming is also a great pastime, notably in our hot country and furthermore, provides healthy exercise, as it puts no strain on any muscles in the body. What is more fun than jumping into a pool on a hot summer day?” she asks.

FNB Namibia was once again instrumental in supporting the Dolphin Swimming Club’s Learn-to-swim initiative where more than 200 young swimmers took part. Janis Stergiadis of the Dolphin Swimming Club applauded FNB Namibia for their sponsorship and flawless organization.

“The difference this year was that we had a coach from Europe assisting with new skills in the swimming world. We also used the team manager to record swimmers’ times and changed the look of the medals this year,” concluded Stergiadis.
