WINDHOEK
The Indonesian Embassy in Windhoek on Thursday donated N$15 000 in cash in support of access to education of needy learners in the Kunene Region.
The Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Becky Ndjoze-Ojo, and the Director of Education in the Kunene Region, Kabajani Kamwi, received the cash donation on behalf of the Ministry of Education.
“As a fellow developing country Indonesia truly understands the difficulties and challenges that are faced by the Government of Namibia to improve the quality of education in this country, particularly in the Kunene Region,” said the Indonesian ambassador to Namibia, Leonardus Widayatmo, at his official residence in the capital.
In his opinion the donation is aimed at lifting some of the education burdens the country is experiencing and suffering from.
Dr Ndjoze-Ojo thanked the ambassador on behalf of the Namibian Government.
