WINDHOEK– The Ekamuti Town Lounge in Ondangwa, Oshikoto region, has bigger plans for both regular patrons and visitors during fast approaching festive season.
Chair of the Organising Committee of the Lounge, Catherine Ashikoto, says the main object on the entertainment menu is to have fun, unique and classy events that promises to provide the community an experience of a lifetime. On December 26 there will be a dress competition at a cocktail party. The event will target the vibrant youth with patrons judged for their summer outfits, proper and fitting to the area, culture and current fashion trends. The event will conclude with music to the taste of the younger generation to dance and have fun together.
The second event, on December 27, in the evening is a black tie event targeting the more mature patrons. All present on the evening will be judged for their elegance and formality of their attires. This event will conclude with music and an opportunity to dance to socialise. “Big prices are involved with the competitions sponsored by businesses in the area,” says Ashikoto.
The menu includes continuous entertainment for children with a playing ground prepared opposite the lodge. “Hot dogs and ice-cream will be for sale, which will also give the kids access to a free movie. Couples could get into the spirit with a romantic dinner with a free movie included, Monday to Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays the dinner will include music and dancing,” says Ashikoto. The Lounge has confirmed this will start the latest on Friday, December 19, and perhaps even earlier. More information is available from these mobile telephone numbers: 081 2623488 and 081 273 4589.
