Dokkies Schmidt Football Academy (DSFA) demonstrated their prowess on Saturday with a resounding victory over Kasaona Football Academy (KFA), securing a 4 – 1 win in their Under-15 group B clash at the Jan Möhr football field.
Following their previous triumph against Ramblers with a score of 4-0, DSFA has now amassed six points from their two games, showcasing their dominance in the league.
Head coach Kamaazembua Fisharo Tjatindi credited the team’s performance to their rigorous pre-season training, which is evidently bearing fruit in their gameplay.
The victory not only solidifies DSFA’s position in the league standings, but also underscores their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. “It was a good game and great dominance from the boys, although we conceded a goal from a silly mistake. We came from behind and have a hat trick hero”, said Tjatindi, who made his debut as team coach.
He added that the boys are putting in the work from the training sessions. “They are guided well; we have to give thanks to Dokkies Schmidt.”
Hat-trick hero Siegmund Brandon Sauerwein was delighted with his performance, and how his teammates played. “I feel great, but I know I can do more. We just need to improve from the few mistakes we made. I need to time my runs, as there were times when I got caught offside,” he added.
Coach Mammie Kasaona gave credit to DSFA for their tactical approach against them. “They knew what they wanted. They followed their coach’s instructions to the tee. It was not a good day for us, so they deserve all the credit,” she said.
Kasaona feels that they were not playing as a team, as some key players were missing. “We have some boys who went for regional trials, so we did not have discipline in the middle. But that’s not an excuse, we must equally believe in the boys who are here.
We had them in the first 20 minutes, but they came prepared. I think we need to work more on our finishing,” Kasaona observed.

Quest 11 suffered a 6 -0 thrashing in their opening game of the season at the hands of Onaanda Football Academy in the U/15 Group B match.
Frans #Nauseb, the coach of Quest 11, feels that the boys must find their feet as they are a new team. “We are new kids on the block, and we are using younger players from the U-13 and U-12. It’s a bit difficult, but I hope we will be able to compete against the others,” he noted.
#Nauseb’s boys looked to be running out of steam in the first half, as Onaanda ran riot against them. “Our preparation for the season was just two weeks. In that amount of time, it’s a bit difficult to get a player fit, but we will work on getting them match-fit. I hope by the fifth game, we will be ready for everyone.
I also want improve our midfield, and our defenders need a little bit of work because those spaces are mostly open,” #Nauseb said.
Onaanda’s Uusiku Reinhold was proud of the boys’ performance, as they adapted to the tactics he gave them. “We should have won by a bigger scoreline, but the players missed a lot of chances. The game plan was simple; I told them that we needed to win the opening game of the season. Moving on, we are targeting a good finish at the end of the season,” Reinhold stated.
