Fortune Eichab, head coach of Khomas Nampol, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure maximum points in tonight’s match.
Nampol currently leads the league with seven points, having won three matches and drawn one. Tonight, they will face last year’s runners-up and 13th-placed FC Ongos at Independence Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick off at 19h00.
Speaking to this publication yesterday, Eichab shared his team’s readiness. “We had a great week after successfully collecting points last week. Now, our focus is on this weekend’s tie. My players are ready, both mentally and physically, for this tough encounter against Ongos,” he said. The two teams have a history of closely-contested matches, with each winning one of their previous two encounters. However, Eichab remains optimistic about his team’s chances. “Ongos is a strong team, and we respect them. But we’re aiming to collect points in this match. A strong start to the league can set the stage for a title challenge.” He added, “Most of our key players are available for this encounter, and it’s a match we need to win. We’re going into this match with the goal of securing maximum points.”
