WINDHOEK- Pro-Kings, No Bones, The Lockers, Uncommon Legacy, Bombastics, Juka Babes, We Dem Girls and Laraand Suleika will battle in out in the Battle of the Crews dancing competition by the Deutsche Höhere Privatschule (DHPS) on August 14 and 15 in the school hall here after an audition in which 11 dancing crews took place on July 17.

The dancing competition is funded by the DHPS Learner Representative Council (LRC), and all type of dancing is accepted for candidates in groups of two or more members. According to Utani Hikuam, the organiser, they are hosting this dancing competition to expose some of Namibia’s hidden talents and generate interest in the art of choreographed dancing.

The dancing  group that took part in the audition were, Uncommon Legacy, We Dem Girls, Cara and Suleika, Bombastics, Strydoms, Four Flavours, The Lockers, No Bones, M$M, Pro-Kings and Juka Babes and out of this 11  only a minimum of six and maximum of  nine have been chosen to perform at the main event. “The chosen candidates had couples of weeks to choreograph and rehearse their dance routines before the main event,” says Hikuam.

The wining crew will walk away with N$5000. “The nation must come in numbers to support and see the talents Namibia has,” says Hikuam. The entrance fee is N$ 40 at the door.
