Swapo dominates both regional and local elections in Omusati Region. In the regional elections Swapo obtained 22 614 votes followed by NUDO with 233.
RDP obtained 205 while DTA got the least votes of 141.
In total 23 193 people had cast their votes in the regional elections. Omusati had 56 361 registered voters .
Swapo also scooped 12 seats altogether in the Oshikuku and Ruacana local authorities where at total of 1419 votes were cast.
Swapo obtained 1321 votes followed by NUDO with 53 and lastly DTA with 45.
