WINDHOEK-The Elombe Art Academy (EAA) is hosting its Elombe Annual Youth Festival (EAYF) next month at HF Lounge in Shandumbala, Onayena costituency in the Oshikoto region under the theme “More talents, no silent”.
Owner of EAA, Erastus Tsempo, says the big day is around the corner and this time around the EAA is promising a bigger and better event. He adds that the event aims to uplift art talents among the youth from Elombe. “The event holds different activities from sports, entertainment and cultural activities. We have sports activities such as Ndateelela Championship that contains soccer and netball tournament. There is also entertainment whereby we will be hosting Miss Elombe and some other art projects such as music and movie releases by EAA,” says Tsempo. Different local musicians such as Tsempo, Komesho, Tingii and Chiza will be performing at the event. The EAA youth festival will kick take place on December 19-20 with sport and a promotions party on December 24. The crowning of Miss Elombe will be on December 26.
“We are still working hard to stage a mega event ever in Elombe. We are not only uplifting talents but developing the village of Elombe as well. I will also release my second album Endangalati during this event” says Tsempo. The registration for sport is still open until December 5. Soccer teams can register at the EAA office at Oshandumbala, Elombe as well as at Elombe Pharmacy Clinic. “EAA did this for the youth in the community to enjoy them as they all meet at the village in December. The event does not have any sponsor yet and we are calling out companies over there to help us as the more money they sponsor the more we market their company during our big event,” he says.
