ONGWEDIVA-Many successful and visionary entrepreneurs started from nothing and rose to the top of the game over the years.

One such emerging entrepreneur who is still in the process of getting to the top is 23-year-old Paulus Kamati, owner of Eemhedi Trading CC.

“I want to create jobs for my fellow youth, because they are tomorrow’s leaders,” were the words of Kamati, whose company specialises in tiling, building, and air conditioner and refrigerator repairs.

Although the emerging entrepreneur is still learning the ins and outs of the business Industry, he is optimistic that his business will grow into a big empire in five years.
Kamati who is passionate about his business declared that he had decided to become an entrepreneur not entirely to make money, but to help fellow Namibians realise their dreams of having a roof over their heads at an affordable price.

“This is not a profit making business, but one that is aimed at helping Namibians,” said Kamati.

At the moment Eemhedi Trading CC has employed two youths, whose jobs become active when the company gets a tender.

“I only have two employees, but they are not permanent because there are times that there are no tenders,” said Kamati.

It is however his dream to employ four to five workers one day.

His biggest challenge in growing his business is the lack of access to capital which many other emerging entrepreneurs also face. He said he wants his business to flourish, but he does not have the needed funds to grow it.

His dream is to get a loan that will boost his business, contribute to Namibia’s economic growth and fight the plague of unemployment in the country.
