Home Time Out Esme searching for talents

Selma Neshiko

Namibian Singer, Esmeralda Esme is hosting two talent auditions tomorrow and Saturday at the Katutura Community Art Centre.
The different talents that consist of singers, musicians and rappers who will be part of a choir, poets for poems, dancers for dancing, young entrepreneurs, business minds for inspirations/testimonies and youth activists, motivational speakers for motivational purposes and mentorship. Esme says she started this project as a way of giving back to the community and to involve the Namibian youth. Currently she is targeting about 80 individuals, both established and upcoming or unknown with the aim to empower each other. “I’ve always wanted to do this and a lot of people support this. I want to create a platform for those unknown to be known, mentorship from each other and share experiences with one another,” she says
She adds that this an opportunity for individuals to just share their story and tell how they can be of encouragement to the group. “This is all about empowering one another. Every month we meet under a different theme and talk about different issues, sing, dance, do poetry etc.,”says Esme.
All participants who will be singing, dancing, worshiping and reciting are encouraged to bring their materials/ work/music to show what they have done already. The event will start at 12h00 until 19h00.
