WINDHOEK
After marching into the heart of the city from Katutura following a three-hour trek, close to 300 dissatisfied ex-Plan liberation fighters are refusing to go back to their houses until the government grants them hefty payments of N$500 000 each.
The key demand for N$500 000 per fighter is apparently compensation for their sacrifices that led to the country being freed from colonial rule in March 1990.
Alternatively, they are demanding compensation of N$32??????’??
