This weekend’s Khomas Super 10 League promises an exhilarating line-up of games at the Patrick Iyambo Police College and Rehoboth netball courts, featuring both the Premier Division and the First Division.
These matches mark the conclusion of the first round before the league heads into a brief hiatus.
Kicking off the Super 10 in the morning, Nampol will go head-to-head against Namibian Correctional Service (NSC), while Unam and United are primed for an intense showdown.
In the First Division, Unam 1B will take on United 1B, adding to the thrill of the weekend.
Another captivating fixture waits as Afrocat squares off against United, followed by an exciting clash between NDF and Gomonatefella.
The chairperson of the Khomas Super 10 and owner of Afrocat Dimitri Bittler told New Era Sport that they are concerned about the challenging weather conditions currently being experienced in the Khomas region.
“This week, training did not go as planned due to the unfavourable weather conditions. We were unable to train in a desired manner, but we must adapt and make the best of the situation,” Bittler stated.
In the second division, spectators can look forward to Tura Magic taking on the School of Medicine, as well as Afrocat Lions 2 battling against Tigers 2. United 2 will then face Zebra Force in yet another thrilling encounter.
Reflecting on the ongoing season, Bittler acknowledged its ups and downs, influenced by various factors.
Nevertheless, he expressed optimism regarding the league’s upcoming mini-break, as it will provide teams with an opportunity to regroup.
“The season has posed its challenges, starting late and resulting in a congested schedule, which had an impact on various outcomes. However, there have been positive aspects as well, with teams displaying their prowess on the court. Overall, it has been a good season, and we anticipate a highly competitive second round,” Bittler remarked.
