Grief-stricken relatives of Sydney Bessel Coetzee (37), the train driver who died on Tuesday while on duty, is considering suing TransNamib for alleged negligence because the runaway train allegedly had faulty brakes attributed to poor maintenance, New Era was informed.
Apart from claiming the life of Coetzee, TransNamib’s worst post-independence train derailment resulted in George Sankandi sustaining multiple skull fractures, six broken ribs and a shattered collarbone. His family was also left with a huge neurology surgery bill of around N$300???_?_’???_?’???_???
