There might be something that you have always wanted to do, but days after days you keep contemplating it because you are afraid it will not work out based on your past experience.
You might be in the middle of a big project, writing exams, or looking for a job but you are stressed and scared that it will not work out. A little bit of stress motivates us to give our work all our best efforts. But when it is accompanied by fear, it becomes a setback. When you are afraid, you try to avoid the situation that you perceive will bring failure. Well, forget all the past mistakes and all the times you have failed before. Every new day is a new beginning and you are given a chance to try your best and do what is right. Sometimes we might not get our desired results right there and then, but it is good to know that you have tried.
Do not put your energy on the past because it will clearly not benefit you in any way. It will only make you more worried and self cautious. Put your energy on what you have at the table right and make sure that it is positive energy. You have to be optimistic about what you are doing, and where you want to be in the future. You might have struggled in the past but that does not mean you are going to have it hard all your life. Never give up on something that you are so passionate about because you never know how close you were to achieving it.
Fear and contemplation is the enemy of progress. Most people did not succeed because they knew it all, they did because the set their fears aside and work hard for what they want. Whatever you do, there are going to be challenges in your way and it is up to you to quit or keep moving even when it is not easy. Do not be afraid to ask for guidance or seek motivation. Ask from your teachers, supervisors, employers, or anyone else whom you consider your mentor. Many people have access to the internet and there you can find so many motivating videos, articles and presentations. There is a saying that goes “the dream I for free, but there is a price for the results”, which means you have to put I work to see your dreams come true. Do not let anyone convince you that you are not good enough. Businesswoman and pop start Victoria Beckham’s ballet teacher said, “There were many kids that were better than Victoria, talent wise. But she was one of the most focused and hardworking people I have ever met”. Be the Victoria Beckham of your life, even if you are not the smartest of the most talented, be the most focused, the most hardworking and the most dedicated person that you can be. Regardless of the humps and bumps on the road, keep moving.
