SHOW goers to the upcoming annual Bank Windhoek Motor Show and Tourism Expo held in Windhoek, will be in for an extra special treat this year. Centred around the 16th Annual Namibian Tourism Expo which takes place at the Windhoek show grounds from 4-7 June, four Ferrari vehicles will be on show at the expo.
This announcement was made during the launch of the Bank Windhoek Motor Show earlier this month. In addition, a street parade is also on the agenda, with various Ferrari vehicles making their way through the streets of Windhoek on the Saturday morning, which includes the likes of the Ferrari 458 Spider, 458 Italia, FF, and the awe-inspiring F12 Berlinetta.
With support from Shell Vivo, the 2012 F1 Ferrari will be also on show at the expo, along with four other Ferrari’s displayed for the first time. Visitors to the Motor Expo can not only win a dream drive in a Ferrari, but also win a trip to the Brazilian Grand Prix in November this year.
Viglietti Motors, in collaboration with Ferrari and partner Shell, have decided to revisit the Ferrari brand’s return to Namibia following a successful outing to the country last year. Apart from the show stopping display at the Expo, Ferrari is also making a service clinic available for existing Ferrari owners in the region.
“Our visit to Namibia last year proved exceptionally valuable for the Ferrari brand,” Viglietti Motors CEO, Mervyn Eagles said in a recent statement. “Not only did our clientele enjoy fun in the sun at the country’s first exclusive Ferrari test drive event, but we opened new doors into an important emerging market for the Ferrari brand on an international level. This is in keeping with our expansion plans into Africa.”
“We have recognised a new breed of super sports car enthusiasts in the region and demand for Ferrari vehicles is ever rising. We are only too proud to be visiting Namibia again and for yet another sensational event.”
After the parade, selected Ferrari guests will embark on the ultimate Ferrari road trip, to Swakopmund. Ferrari enthusiasts will be offered an exclusive test drive experience, designed to exploit both the majestic Ferrari vehicles on offer, as well as a host of incredible Namibian experiences. Sponsored fuel stops along the route will be available at selected Shell service stations.
Concludes Eagles: “Our Namibian clientele and indeed all Ferrari fans gave us the warmest reception last year, and we expect a heightened sense of Ferrari enthusiasm as we embark this year on what can only be described as an astoundingly exciting experience in one of the most beautiful places.”
